Sunlit and crayon-bright, this exciting musical recently enjoyed a Broadway revival and is based on one of history’s most famous comic strips – Charles Schulz’s Peanuts.
This is the first in a series of major productions scheduled for Melbourne Musicals over the coming two years. Melbourne Musicals aims to present productions that are original, innovative and entertaining.
After a lengthy and exhaustive audition process, Melbourne Musicals is proud to announce the cast for its hotly anticipated production of “YOU’RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN!” to be presented in an intimate season at the Cromwell Road Theatre, South Yarra, in June 2008.
Over a three-week period, the production team auditioned dozens of performers, all of whom worked hard for a coveted spot in the Charlie Brown cast.
Director for Melbourne Musicals, Bryce Ives, is thrilled to announce the following cast:
- James Cutler – as Charlie Brown, everyone’s favourite round-headed kid
- Darryn Gatt – as Snoopy, his ever faithful side-kick
- Laura Burzacott – as Sally Brown, his headstrong sister
- Emma Caldwell – as Lucy, Sally’s best friend
- Matt Perfect – as Linus, that adorable blanket-carrier
- Richard Hughes – as Schroder, our piano-playing musical genius
They will be joining our exceptionally talented production team which includes James A. Cook (Associate Director) Adrian Portell (Musical Director),and Damien Calvert (Designer). We are also proud to welcome the newest addition to our production team, Jessica Barlow, who will join us as choreographer.
